2nd prep school grad pleads guilty in drug ring

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A second prep school graduate has been sentenced to five to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty in a ring selling drugs to high school and college students in the affluent Main Line suburbs of Philadelphia.

The (Pottstown) Mercury reports that 25-year-old Neil Scott of Paoli pleaded guilty today in Montgomery County to felony possession with intent to deliver marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy as well as corrupt organization and conspiracy charges.

Scott declined comment. Defense attorney Thomas Egan III said his client was “happy to get this chapter of his life behind him and move forward.”

Nineteen-year-old Timothy Brooks of Villanova is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to similar charges last month.

Prosecutors said the two recruited and supplied dealers with marijuana, cocaine, and other drugs.
