2 men fatally shoot each other in Ohio village

LOCKLAND, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say two men found fatally shot in a southwestern Ohio village killed each other.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office reports that 23-year-old Patrick Washington of Cincinnati was found in a street in suburban Cincinnati village of Lockland on Monday afternoon. Officers found Washington’s body when they responded to 911 calls about a person shot in the street.

Officers then found 32-year-old Velar Brown, of the village of Lincoln Heights, in a nearby alley. Authorities say Brown also had been shot and was taken to a hospital where he died shortly afterward.

The Southwest Ohio Violent Crime Task Force investigated the shootings. A release from the sheriff’s office says investigators determined that the two men fatally shot each other after an altercation.

Authorities said the victims knew each other.
