YOUNGSTOWN

11The exhibit is produced by two local photographers’ collections — Ward W. Smith and Charles R. Phillips. The exhibit chronicles the scenes of Mill Creek Park from 1905 through 1926.

Although there is not much known about Smith or Phillips, they apparently both worked in a shoe store in downtown Youngstown and shared an interest in photography.

The collection is a peek inside the early years of the park district, including Yellow Creek Park in Struthers.

The exhibit includes various cameras used at that time including professional as well as popular amateur cameras.

Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday until the end of December.
