Lecture on history of Ursuline Sisters
YOUNGSTOWN
Sister Mary McCormick of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown will be the featured speaker at the next Bites and Bits of History lunch program Thursday at noon at the Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St., downtown.
The Ursulines of Youngstown marked their 140th anniversary in September. The order began by teaching at St. Columba School and has had a long history of teaching at the elementary and high school levels.
Sister Mary’s talk will reflect on this history with stories and photos.
Parking is available for $2 in the lot on the west side of the History Center. Overture restaurant at the DeYor is offering a $6 lunch special.
