Hope Foundation announces grant awards


YOUNGSTOWN

The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley announced its latest round of grants to local nonprofit organizations that serve chronically/terminally ill children. They are:

Making Kids Count: $1,500, to fill Hope Totes for children undergoing chemotherapy at Akron Children’s Hospital of the Mahoning Valley.

Easter Seal Society of Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties: $1,500, to enable children with cerebral palsy and other chronic diagnoses to participate in Intense SuitAbility therapy.

Camelot Center: $1,500, to provide therapeutic horse riding to children with chronic/terminal illness through the Saddle Up Scholarship program.

Carmstrong Foundation: $1,079, money raised during the recent Carmstrong Bocce for Hope event held at the MVR.
