Boardman police investigate burglary

BOARDMAN — Township police are investigating a burglary in which about $10,000 worth of property was taken from a residence on the 8500 block of Ivy Hill Drive.

The victims told police they left the state for a family emergency at the end of September and returned Thursday to find a safe, $7,250 worth of jewelry, credit cards and $2,500 in cash missing from their home, according to a police report filed Friday.

They told police the alarm was not set when they left. Police did not find any signs of forced entry.
