Vow renewal, reception for Navarros’ 50th

DELTONA, FLA.

John H. and Bienvenida (Bennie) Navarro of Deltona, Fla., formerly of Youngstown, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a renewal of vows and a reception Oct. 18 at The Embassy in Boardman.

The couple were married Oct. 17, 1964, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Youngstown.

The event was hosted by their children, Tina Navarro (James) Misel, John D. (Meshelle) Navarro, Nellie (Juan) Zavala and Jeff (Angela) Navarro.

The couple have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Navarro retired from the Youngstown City Schools in May 2002 after working 25 years there. Mr. Navarro worked 25 years at GM Lordstown and retired in July 1997.

After retirement the couple moved to Deltona, where they reside.
