Party honors Doerings for 65th anniversary

BATH, OHIO

J. Frederick and Gloria Doering of Bath, Ohio, formerly of Youngstown, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Sept. 11 with a dinner party at the Hilton Fairlawn Hotel in Akron.

The couple have four children, John Doering, Robert Doering, Chante (Doering) Hunter and Roy Doering.

Mrs. Doering is a homemaker. Mr. Doering retired in 1989 as a senior consultant for Ohio Edison in Akron-Youngstown. He belongs to Christ Methodist Church in Akron, to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Edison Electrical Institute and the National Society of Engineers. He served as a master sergeant in the U.S. Army and is a Korean War veteran.

The former Gloria Golden married Mrs. Doering on Sept. 11, 1949, at Indianola United Methodist Church in Youngstown.
