Butler party will preview holiday arts and crafts

The preview party for the 44th annual American Holiday Fine Arts and Crafts Show is planned from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave.
A variety of artists and crafters will be featured along with a chance auction, 50-50 raffle and door prize raffle.
The cost is $40 for Butler members and $50 for nonmembers. Doors open at 5:45. Proceeds benefit the Butler’s free programs.
Make reservations on or before Nov. 26. Any made after that date will incur a $10 late fee. To make a reservation call 330-743-1107 ext. 210.
A gourmet buffet supper, wine and beer included, will be provided by AVI Foodsystems Inc. The menu follows:
Salad: spring mix with shaved red onion, roasted golden beets, cherry tomato, goat cheese and red wine vinaigrette; and rolls and butter.
Entree: thyme seared chicken with amaretto cream sauce, chipotle maple grilled salmon, pesto penne with grilled portabello mushroom and roasted red pepper, herb roasted red skin potatoes, lemon-garlic grilled asparagus, julienne carrots, and sweet red and yellow peppers.
Assorted mini desserts: pecan bars, whiskey truffles, white chocolate truffles and mini berry tartlets.
Beverages: Coffee, hot tea, beer and wine.
