Dance studio turns 60

Fred Astaire Dance Studio, 5090 Market St., will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a gala Dec. 5 at Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St. The event will include a historical tribute, dinner and dancing. A ballroom and Latin dance show will be performed by Astaire studio professionals.

The studio opened in 1954.

The event is open to the public. Tickets, which are $65 a person, are available at the studio and by calling 330-788-3200.
