Characters from “Frozen,” superheroes, sports stars, princesses, butterflies, witches and television and movie stars paraded through the halls of Hilltop Elementary School during the school’s annual Halloween parade Oct. 31. The students then enjoyed Halloween parties with games and crafts in each of the classrooms.
Catching a break in the rainy weather, each class had a chance to show off their costumes to the large crowd of families and friends who lined the sidewalks as the students paraded around the school.
Teachers and staff members also got into the Halloween spirit by dressing in costume. Each grade-level of teachers dressed up in group costumes such as dominos as super heroes. Hilltop Principal Joe Maroni and school secretary Kathy Palumbo dressed as Canfield football players who fired up the students as they led the parade.
When the parade was over, the students went back to their classroom for their Halloween party. PTO volunteers in each classroom provided Halloween-themed games for the children to play. Halloween crafts were also available for the children to make during the party and take home as a souvenir of their fun day.
The Hilltop Elementary School PTO provided snacks and drinks for the parties.
