Austintown Colts teams named Superbowl Champions

Neighbors | Submitted.The Austintown Colts 140 pound team was named YAC Superbowl Champions after their victory on Nov. 2.

The Austintown Colts 100 pound team took on the defeated Boardman Little Spartans for the championship on Nov. 2.

Both teams decisive line worked hard to keep the game scoreless throughout regulation time. the Colts. Jordan Schisler scored first for the Colts in over time with the Spartans answering right back. The Spartans then scored in double over time with the 2-point conversion. Schisler scored for the Colts offensively, but the Colts 2-point conversion attempt was stopped by the Little Spartans. Giving the Spartans the win.

The Colts 120 pound team was unstoppable with a 28-0 victory over the Canfield Little Cardinals for the Super Bowl Championship. Devin Winford and Donovan Oliver scored multiple touchdowns for the Colts. The Colts offensive line paved the way for the win.

The Austintown Colts 140 pound team took on the Canfield Little Cardinals for their shot at the Championship. The Colts defensive line worked to keep the cards scoreless through the first half. The Colts came back in the second half with a touchdown run by Lorenzo Russo making the score tied at 6-6. The Cardinals pulled out a touchdown in the fourth quarter, missing the two point conversion. The Colts offensive line opened up for a second touchdown by Russo. And a 2-point conversion pass from KyRee Long to Todd Simons for the Colts win, naming them 2014 Y.A.C.Super Bowl Champions.
