BOARDMAN
Township police are investigating a drug-abuse case in which someone left a bag of cocaine at Akron Children’s Hospital, 6505 Market St., on Monday.
According to a police report, a hospital security officer told police that a male and female came to the hospital with their child to get X-rays.
After the male, who was sitting on an exam table, got up and left, the X-ray technician found a plastic bag containing a white powder substance on the floor next to the exam table.
Police took possession of the bag, which contained six individual bags, and determined it to be 2.2 grams of cocaine.
The names of the suspects were not available Wednesday.
