Austrian film at Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.

Westminster College’s Jake Erhardt International Film Series will show “Animal Kingdom” at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 in the Sebastian Mueller Theater. The program is free to the public.

The 2010 Australian film is a dramatic thriller directed by David Michod and starring Guy Pearce. A 17-year-old boy is on a hunt for survival among a criminal family and a detective who thinks he can save him.

Westminster seniors Mark Eck and Jordan Locke will introduce the film and lead a short discussion after the viewing.

World War II will be the topic

MERCER, Pa.

The History in the Making discussion group’s topic will be “The Road to WW II — Part 2” when it meets at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Mercer County Historical Society, 119 Pitt St. The event will feature newsreels of the day. Admission is free.
