One Campbell road project done, another planned

CAMPBELL

All roadwork on state Route 289 is completed, except for work on a box culvert underneath the road. Mayor William VanSuch reported there should be no more traffic delays or hold ups due to construction on that road.

The mayor added that the city was awarded grant money by the Ohio Public Works Commission to add new water lines and resurface Sixth Street from Penhale Avenue to Wilson Avenue.

VanSuch said the project will likely begin in spring. He said all construction will cost $549,760 with 73 percent of the project being funded within the city and 27 percent being funded by the OPWC grant.
