Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., will serve its annual turkey dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The takeout-only dinner includes dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberry salad, rolls and butter, and pumpkin or apple pie for $9. Advance purchase of tickets is recommended by calling 330-758-4527. Tickets may be purchased at the door while they last.

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The dinner includes potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie for $7 per dinner. Drive up to the door, and someone will bring your dinners to your car. Call 330-549-2588 to reserve your dinners. Leave your name, phone number, the number of dinners and approximate time you will arrive. A percentage of the profits are used for local mission projects.

VFW Triangle Post 2799 will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the post, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield. Prices are $7 for adults, $3.50 for children under 12 and $7.25 for carryout. The menu includes meatballs, salad, Italian bread and coffee or tea.

FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for freshly made each week potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will have a fish fry fundraiser from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14. The menu includes fries or macaroni and cheese or haluski, tossed salad, dessert assortment and a beverage. Adult meals cost $8 in advance or $8.75 at the door, kids meals cost $3.95 for ages 6 to 12 and free for kids under 6. Takeouts will be offered. Tickets will be available at the church after 10:30 a.m. worship on Sundays or on Monday through Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 pm.. through Nov. 12. St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6 per dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome. There will be no pirogi sale the week of Thanksgiving.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SATURDAY

Sharon First United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St., Sharon, Pa., will sell chicken pie dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Prices are $8 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Takeouts will be available.

Southington American Legion Post 751 will serve Swiss steak dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the post home, 3145 Warren-Burton Road. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. The steak is served with gravy, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, vegetable, beverage and dessert. Takeouts are available. This is the last Swiss steak dinner planned for the year.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with seatings at 4 and 5:30 p.m. Prices are $10 for adults, $6 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. For reservations call 330-792-5805.

Woodland Park United Methodist Church, 601 Ohio Ave., McDonald, will have its monthly pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. in the church hall. It is sponsored by the men’s group. The cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. Takeouts will be available.

SUNDAY

Fowler Fire Department will serve a pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station, state Route 193. The cost is $6.50 for adults, $5.50 for seniors and $4.50 for children. Preschoolers eat for free.

Girard Boy Scout Troop 40 will have its annual turkey dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St. Prices are $8 for adults, $5 for kids 4 to 12 and free for kids 3 and under. The meal includes several sides, desert and a beverage.

Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., will serve a roast beef dinner from noon until 2 p.m. It is sponsored by the Men’s Organization, and proceeds will benefit mission projects. Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown, will serve a pork and kraut dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Prices are $8.75 for adults and $5 for children. The meal includes dessert and coffee, tea or pop. The public is welcome, and takeouts will be available.

MONDAY

Living Testimony Ministries, 34 Jacobs Road, Youngstown, will serve free soup and sandwich lunches from noon to 3 p.m. each Monday.

TAKING ORDERS

Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon is taking orders for pumpkin-cherry nut bread. The cost is $10 each. To order by Monday, call 330-538-3351. Pickup dates are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 22 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 23.

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, will be selling 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls for $8, potato soup and chicken noodle soup for $5 a quart and $3 a pint, fresh-baked bread for $2 for a large loaf and $1.50 a for a small loaf, and chocolate chip muffins for two for $1. Holy Apostles Parish will have a holiday kolbasi and Italian sausage sale for $7 per pound. The types are Croatian, Hungarian, Polish and Slovak kolbasi and Italian medium sausage. St. Joseph the Provider School, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will host a steak fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 22 in the St. Anthony Church complex. The cost is $15.
