Struthers police chief recuperating after heart attack

STRUTHERS — Struthers police Chief Tim Roddy experienced a heart attack Sunday, said Mayor Terry Stocker. Roddy was taken to St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. Stocker said Capt. Pat Bundy will serve as acting chief until Roddy returns.

“His condition seems to be satisfactory now,” Stocker said today.

Bundy said Roddy will be out of the hospital within the next 24 hours. He said the chief will likely return to his post by Monday after a couple days rest.
