Warren man gets 30 years for rape of boy

WARREN — Tyler Aikens, 19, of Parkman Road SW was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison this morning in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for sex crimes against a 10-year-old boy.

Aikens was convicted at trial one month ago on one count of rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition.

Prosecutors said Aikens raped the boy while babysitting him and his two younger brothers at Aikens' house.

The victim and his family did not attend the hearing, and Aikens did not speak at the hearing.
