Warren assault reported

WARREN — A 54-year-old city woman reported Saturday being robbed and assaulted on Ward Street Northwest at 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

The woman said two males were talking to her as she walked, then they knocked her to the ground and took her purse, then fled.

The woman, who had minor bruising on the side of her head, said she hit her head when she was knocked to the ground.

The woman reported about $100 worth of prescriptions were in the purse, and the purse was valued at about $250.
