St. Elizabeth, St. Joseph hospitals to change their names

In November, Humility of Mary Health Partners’ name change to Mercy Health will also result in the change of the names of its three health centers.

St. Elizabeth Health Center will become St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, St. Joseph Health Center will become St. Joseph Warren Hospital, and St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center will become St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.

Also, HMHP Physician Associates, HMHP’s employed physician group, will become Mercy Health Physicians.

The changes are in name only. All services, locations, modes of operation, care providers, administrators and employees will remain the same, HMHP officials said.

This name transition began in July when Catholic Health Partners (CHP), HMHP’s parent, changed its name to Mercy Health. At that time, it was determined that all CHP markets would eventually mirror that name change.
