Posted threat against cops sends Pittsburgh police to bus station

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police converged on the Greyhound bus station downtown after someone posted a Facebook threat to shoot officers at that location.

Public Safety spokeswoman Sonya Toler says police arrived about 7 p.m. Sunday and by 8 p.m. had determined the incident was most likely a hoax.

Police were working to determine who posted the threat, which has since been taken down.

A citizen saw it and contacted police in their neighborhood who, in turn, notified the city’s Zone Two station which covers downtown.
