Man gets 2 years for gas station robbery

WARREN — Clayton Dowe, 19, pleaded guilty this morning to a reduced charge of robbery of a Champion gas station and received a two-year prison sentence in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Police said Dowe wore a ski mask when he robbed the BP gas station on Mahoning Avenue in Champion in March.

The store clerk said Dowe held a sock during the robbery that appeared to have a gun inside.
