“Increase the Peace” (6:30 p.m. today and 6:30 a.m. Sunday on MyYTV): Show host Andrea Mahone will be joined by Lindsay Renea, whose Lindsay Renea Dance Theatre will present a dance concert later this month. Second guest will be Janet Lowe and Heidi Daniel of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County.

“A Conversation with Dee” (8:30 a.m. Sunday on WKBN-TV): Host Dee Crawford’s guests will be Joan Trgovac and Joyce Davenport from the Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Council Partnership (MYCAP). They will discuss their winter-crisis program that provides help with heating bills.

Civil War program

MERCER, PA.

The Mercer County Historical Society will present a program titled “General Orders, No. 100,” which focuses on how the Civil War was to be fought.

Presented by John Hall, the free program will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at MCHS headquarters, 119 S. Pitt St. It includes sections on military jurisdiction, retaliation, protection of people and property, punishment, deserters, prisoners of war, hostages, booty, war rebels, spies, traitors, exchanges, parole and more.

The Civil War Discussion Group is part of the MCHS’s efforts to provide programming related to local history. The roundtable meets on the second Tuesday of each month from September through May.
