Cops looking for 3 who tried to steal an ATM machine from Speedway

BOARDMAN — Police are looking for three men they say try to steal an ATM machine from the Speedway store on East Midlothian Boulevard about 4 a.m. today.

Township police Chief Jack Nichols said officers responded to an alarm at the store and saw a van nearby and engaged it in a low-speed chase through the Shirley Road area to Buckeye Circle on Youngstown’s South Side.

Two men who were in the van bailed out before the van stopped and the driver jumped out and ran away. The license plate on the van came back to show it had been stolen in Cleveland, Nichols said.
