St. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will meet at noon Monday in the private dining room at St. Elizabeth’s on Belmont Ave. The speaker will be Traci Manning from the Mahoning Valley Historical Society presenting “The Pivotal Right — A History of the Women’s Suffrage Movement.”

CLUBS
Austintown Rotary is having a meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Saxon Club in the lower lounge to find out how to join the Austintown Core group. Rotary is forming a special core group of local community residents in the Mahoning Valley who can assist the Austintown Rotary with any projects, fundraisers or activities that the Rotary is involved with throughout the year. This will be a group of people that would love to join the Rotary but cannot commit to the weekly Monday lunch meetings, or they may just not want to be too involved in any organization that takes too much of their personal time, but would not mind helping out once in a while. There is no cost involved; there will be only a few meetings a year, and you have to help out only when you have the extra time.
College Club of Sharon will meet Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Sharon in the fellowship hall. A coffee period will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by a meeting and presentation. Pamela Hecker and Tiffin Lorlello will present “A Morning of Beauty with Mary Kay ... An Overview of the Cosmetics Industry.” Any woman who holds a four-year degree or two-year associate degree from an accredited college or university is eligible for membership. Girard Junior Women will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Giorgio’s Restaurant in Niles. Roselyn Gadd and Marilyn Kobal will serve as hostesses. The group will order from the menu and discuss the upcoming Christmas Bazaar on the first Saturday in December. There also will be a vote on the amount of money allotted to the GJW annual donation to the Emmanuel Center to help with Thanksgiving meals for Girard residents. Mahoning Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at noon Monday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Judge Carol Robb will present “From Grateful Nations.” Meetings are open to women interested in joining Daughters of the American Revolution, a nonprofit, nonpolitical women’s volunteer service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism. Mercer County Women’s Connect will meet at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at Wendell August Forge, 2074 Leesburg-Grove City Road, Mercer, Pa. Karen Anderson of the forge will provide light appetizers, wine, coffee, water, etc. There will be a brief meeting and Anderson will give a guided tour through the history center and workshop of the forge. Transcendental Interest Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Park Vista North Lounge, 1310 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Tess Bartelmay, a certified yoga teacher, will present “Yoga for All Ages.” The 90-minute session will feature light movements that can be done while sitting in a chair. Loose-fitting clothing is recommended. The Transcendental Interest Group is for those interested in exploring the inner way of knowing. It meets on the second Wednesday of every month. Youngstown Area Weavers Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Colonial Inn on the Canfield Fairgrounds in Canfield. Kathryn Dunlety will be the featured speaker and will talk on “Textiles of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan Featuring Yurt Construction.” The group will construct a miniature yurt. LIBRARY FRIENDS
Friends of the Boardman Library will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday. The program at 10 will be “Christmas at the White House” presented by Chris Craft, Massillon Museum. Hostesses will be Luanna Jacobs, Carolyn Ceraso, and Joan Ruffing. Donations of books, magazines, CDs and DVDs are needed and will be collected on the first and third Saturday of each month. Children’s books are needed. All proceeds support the summer reading program.
