Woman arrested in criminal simulation case

Township police arrested a suspect in a criminal simulation case Wednesday.

Ashley Bowser, 23, of Youngstown is charged with a felony count of simulation and was set to appear in court Thursday night for an arraignment.

According to a police report, Bowser is accused of withdrawing $6,000 from a Huntington National Bank branch after a bad check worth $7,520 was deposited into her account Aug. 26 at an ATM at 3960 South Avenue.

Township police learned about the incident after being contacted by Huntington’s corporate security fraud investigator.

Bowser was taken to the Mahoning County jail pending her court appearance.
