‘Next to Normal’

Brandy Johanntges and Craig Conrad perform a scene from Dublin Grange Theater’s production of the rock musical “Next to Normal,” which opens tonight and runs for three weekends. The cast also includes Cheney Morgan, Bethany Kholos, John Cruz and Carl Brockway. Liz Conrad is director. Additional dates are Friday, Saturday and Nov. 14, 15, 16, 21 and 22. Show times are 7:30 p.m. all days except Nov. 16, which will be at 2:30 p.m. The theater is at 6571 Fairground Blvd., near the intersection of U.S. Route 224, in Canfield (behind CVS drugstore). A character in the play is bipolar, and mental-health officials will be present after the show to discuss issues. “Next to Normal” was nominated for 11 Tony Awards in 2009 and won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
