CANFIELD
Laura Zeh, curator of the Canfield Historical Society, will conclude the group’s fall lecture series Nov. 13 with a presentation on the World War I era in Canfield.
The free lecture will begin at 7 p.m. in the Bond House, 44 W. Main St.
Seldom-seen pieces from the society’s collection will be featured, including original signatures of Abraham Lincoln and Richard Nixon, Manchester Hardware store photos and salesman samples, and historical bonnets and purses.
“The Bond House, home of the Canfield Historical Society, has a relatively small amount of exhibit space in which to display our collection,” said Zeh. “But all of the collection in storage is still relevant and important to the institution’s mission. The upcoming lecture will give attendees an opportunity to experience up close those pieces that may not otherwise ever be on exhibit.”
No preregistration is necessary for the lecture, which is appropriate for all ages. For information, call the Canfield Historical Society at 330-533-3458.
