Body found after fire at south-central Ohio home

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say one person was found dead after a fire at a mobile home in south-central Ohio.

A man on his way to work called 911 after spotting the blaze about 5:20 a.m. today near Chillicothe. Emergency responders found the place engulfed in flames.

Local law enforcement and investigators from the state fire marshal’s office were called to the scene. The Ross County sheriff’s office said investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire and to confirm the identity of the person found dead.

Local authorities didn’t immediately release that person’s name, but relatives at the scene told reporters it was a 67-year-old woman who lived there.
