UPDATE | Ohio Turnpike westbound lanes reopened

HIRAM — A spokeswoman for the Hiram barracks of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said crews are going to reopen a westbound lane of the Ohio Turnpike in Mahoning County that has been closed since a multi-vehicle accident about 11:50 a.m.

One person has been killed in the accident, which closed the westbound lanes.

The spokeswoman said more information will be released when investigators return from the scene. The accident happened between mile markers 222 and 233.
