UPDATE | Ohio Turnpike westbound lanes reopened after fatality


HIRAM — The westbound lanes of the Ohio Turnpike in Mahoning County are reopened after a multicar accident on the turnpike caused at least one fatality and injured others.

A dispatcher at the Hiram post, which covers the turnpike, said the accident involved at least 10 vehicles in the westbound lanes of the turnpike between mile markers 222 and 233.

The dispatcher said the call came in about 11:50 a.m. today. The patrol reopened the westbound lanes shortly before 3 p.m.
