JFK assassination play is now on DVD
YOUNGSTOWN
The original play “Specter of Treason — The Oswald Trial,” written, directed and produced by J.E. Ballantyne Jr. of Youngstown, is now available on DVD.
The play constructs a “what if” scenario in which suspected President Kennedy assassin Lee Harvey Oswald survives the gunshot wounds inflicted by Jack Ruby and goes on trial. The play is essentially Oswald’s fictional trial with the audience acting as the jury.
The stage production was presented last year at the Victorian Players Theater.
The DVD is $25. To order, call 330-799-6176 or send a check made payable to J.E. Ballantyne Jr. for $25 plus $3 shipping and handling to J&B Production Arts Services, 7130 Locust Ave., Suite 12, Youngstown, OH 44512.
Ballantyne said the DVD for the accompanying JFK seminar, “JFK and Dallas,” which took place at Youngstown State University, will be available in the near future.
