SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Every year first-graders at Holy Family School get to experience a hands-on lesson about the sacrament of baptism. They take baby dolls from home and teachers assign the roles of parents and godparents to students. The Monsignor William Connell blesses the “parents” and “godparents” and baptizes the dolls. Above are first-grader Julianna Ramos with teacher Kristin McCloud and Monsignor Connell, pastor of Holy Family Parish, “baptizing” baby doll Jason Max.
