A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

POLAND

Oct. 28

Theft: A Clovermeade Avenue woman reported more than $2,600 worth of beauty products stolen.

Oct. 31

Theft: A $200 guitar amplifier was stolen from a residence in the 3200 block of Bedford Road.

Nov. 1

Criminal damaging: A 6-square-foot window and screen were damaged at a home in the 6500 block of Rose Lynn Place.

BOARDMAN

Oct. 30

Assault: Tamara D. Traylor, 30, of West Warren Avenue, Youngstown, surrendered on a simple-assault charge after an employee with a Southern Park Mall store alleged that Traylor had sprayed her with pepper spray Oct. 7 during an argument about personal issues between them.

Burglary: Township police assisted U.S. marshals who booked 21-year-old Jayquawn T. Manigault of East Avondale Avenue, Youngstown, on felony charges of aggravated burglary and disrupting public services. Earlier, a man alleged Manigault had entered his Lemans Drive apartment to collect money from another person, assaulted the accuser, stole a 32-inch TV and destroyed the accuser’s cellphone as he tried to call authorities.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 800 block of Fairfield Drive was found with a broken passenger-side window.

Menacing: A Hitchcock Road woman alleged a neighbor threatened to beat her up and called her derogatory names as part of ongoing problems between them.

Menacing: An office assistant with a Market Street business reported that an enraged client made an implied threat against his attorney and a judge regarding documents he wanted.

Theft: Two Struthers girls, 15 and 17, were accused of stealing $69 worth of merchandise from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Domestic violence: Caleb C. Brett, 22, of West Boulevard, Boardman, was charged with the crime after his girlfriend alleged Brett had slammed her head into a portion of pavement during a fight. The accuser had redness and scratches.

Fraud: A Silver Fox Drive man told police he received the latest in a series of 13 calls in which someone claiming to represent the Internal Revenue Service told him that agents would confiscate his residence and levy a $50,000 fine against the accuser unless he paid $4,288 he supposedly owed.

Assault: A traffic stop on South Avenue led to the arrest of Delena R. Williams of Willow Drive, Boardman, who was wanted on an assault warrant. The 22-year-old Williams was accused of tossing a hairbrush from her car and striking another driver’s nose during an Aug. 24 argument between the two motorists near Southern Boulevard.

Theft: Michael L. Molina, 18, and Cody A. Williams, 19, both of Ellenwood Avenue, Youngstown, were charged with theft and possession of criminal tools after an alcoholic beverage and candy were stolen from Walmart. Williams also faced a charge of underage possession of alcohol.

Vandalism: A Boardman boy, 16, was charged with vehicular vandalism and a township girl, 15, faced a charge of obstructing official business after an officer on routine patrol in the 8000 block of Southern Boulevard reported that someone had struck his cruiser with an object. The boy later admitted having tossed a cup of ice water at the officer’s vehicle; in addition, the girl lied during an interview about the incident, a report stated.

Oct. 31

Arrest: Police responded to a disabled vehicle near New England Boulevard, where they took 64-year-old Wayne R. Johnson into custody. Johnson, of Melrose Avenue, Boardman, was wanted on a Niles warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court on a resisting-arrest charge.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered Jared Jewelers, 7415 Market St., via an unlocked supply room and removed a $552 space heater.

Burglary: To an apartment in the 5200 block of Old Oxford Lane via the front door. Four $300 air-conditioning units were removed from a basement.

Criminal damaging: A woman reported her vehicle’s passenger-side window was shattered as she drove near Boardman Park. The damage estimate was $200.

Arrest: Authorities answered a call regarding a possibly inebriated motorist at a Market Street gas station, where they charged 51-year-old Paul Citano of Glenwood Avenue, Boardman, with operating a vehicle impaired.

Attempted theft: A woman accused a family member of repeatedly trying to steal property from their deceased father’s Mathews Road residence.

Robbery: A woman had a small cut on her right cheek before reporting that another woman had forcibly stolen her purse in a parking lot in the 4000 block of Hillman Way.

Theft: A man age 25 to 30 took a $150 item from Fin, Feather and Fur Outfitters, 1138 Boardman-Poland Road.

Counterfeit: A man and a woman, reportedly working as a team, each simultaneously passed two phony $100 bills at Walmart.

Menacing: A Berlin Center woman said her former boyfriend has sent unwanted letters to her place of employment on Southern Boulevard.

Theft: A Realtor checking a home in the 700 block of Squirrel Hill Drive discovered that kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well as various appliances had been stolen.

Theft: A man stole $100 worth of clothing, including a pair of men’s shorts, from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Vandalism: Someone intentionally pulled a handrail from its mountings attached to a building in the 5600 block of Market Street.

Nov. 1

Arrest: Officers investigated a vehicle off the road near Southern Boulevard before charging 38-year-old Allen K. Beale of Wildwood Drive, Boardman, with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle impaired. Beale had a loaded 9 mm handgun in his possession, police said.

Assault: Authorities picked up 28-year-old James L. Mills of Leighton Avenue, Boardman, who was wanted on an assault charge related to a Dec. 12, 2013, situation in which a family member reported having been struck repeatedly during an argument about money.

Trespassing: Police responded to a report of a man refusing to leave Southern Park Mall before charging 32-year-old Chad E. Kimble of Market Street, Boardman, with criminal trespassing. Kimble was on mall property despite having been issued a criminal-trespassing warning, a report said.

Theft: A man in his late 20s reportedly stole a $300, eight-channel video-surveillance kit from hhgregg, 441 Boardman-Poland Road.

Domestic violence: A 14-year-old township boy was charged after his father alleged the teen had punched the accuser’s left cheek during an argument that apparently began when he tried to get the boy to clean his room.

Theft: Authorities charged 20-year-old Bryan W. Sheely of Carrousel Woods Drive, New Middletown, with theft, obstructing official business and resisting arrest after roughly $125 worth of clothing was stolen from Macy’s in Southern Park Mall. Sheely ran from a loss-prevention official who had tried to apprehend him; he later attempted to flee from police, a report showed.

Nov. 2

Assault: A Boardman woman alleged her former boyfriend punched her several times in the face at a South Avenue grocery store.

Citation: A traffic stop on U.S. Route 224 resulted in a citation charging 27-year-old Travis J. Jackson of South Main Street, Columbiana, with operating a vehicle impaired. Jackson’s blood-alcohol count was 0.169, slightly more than twice the legal limit, a report showed.

Harassment: A Cascade Drive woman said she’s received unwanted photographs and quotes on her cellphone.

Theft: An Xbox game console and several related items were stolen during a Halloween party at a residence in the 8500 block of Twin Oaks Court.

Theft: Two .25-caliber handguns were missing from a home in the 40 block of Ferncliff Avenue.

Threat: Mike Gordon Sr., 58, of Indianola Road, Boardman, was charged with making a domestic-violence threat after his wife alleged that during an argument, Gordon had threatened to cut her throat, causing the accuser to fear for her safety.

Assault: A Shields Road woman complained of pain in her right cheek while alleging that a neighbor had punched her face.

Misuse of a credit card: A New Castle, Pa., woman learned someone had tried to use her stolen credit card to make a total of $853 worth of fraudulent charges at two township locations.

Theft: A $270 sewing machine came up missing during an inventory check at Viking & White Sewing Gallery, 7386 Market St.

Theft: Officers charged 32-year-old Charles R. Boss III with theft after alleging Boss, of Wingate Road, Poland, had stolen roughly $30 worth of health-and-beauty products from Walmart.

Nov. 3

Domestic violence: Joseph J. Hardy of Shields Road, Boardman, was charged with the crime after a family member alleged Hardy, 32, had grabbed his neck, pinned him against a wall and choked the accuser, resulting in an injury to his upper back.

Stolen property: Shawn L. Paulin Sr., 35, of East Western Reserve Road, Poland, surrendered on a felony receiving-stolen-property charge after an Oct. 15 situation in which a man reported his daughter’s debit card had been stolen from her vehicle in the 8500 block of Market Street, then used to make four unauthorized charges totaling about $281.
