ELECTION UPDATE | Jon Husted ahead in re-election bid for Ohio Secretary of State

COLUMBUS — Early voting shows incumbent Republican Jon Husted comfortably ahead in his bid to retain his job as Ohio Secretary of State.

Husted has 429,857 votes; his Democratic Party challenger Nina Turner, a state senator from Cleveland, has 305,805 votes; and Libertarian candidate Kevin Knedler has 26,943 votes.
