NORTH JACKSON

Voters have passed a 1.8-mill, five-year renewal levy for Jackson-Milton schools, with 52 percent of voters in favor of the renewal and 48 percent against it, according to Mahoning County Board of Elections data.

“We will continue to use your tax dollars wisely and we thank you for your trust in is,” Superintendent Kirk Baker said in a statement.

The levy will raise $383,088 annually and will cost the owner of a $100,000 home $55 per year. It originally was approved in 1990.
