ELECTION UPDATE | Democrat Carney concedes defeat in Ohio auditor race

COLUMBUS – State Rep. John Patrick Carney, D-Clintonville, vowed to continue to fight and stand up for the issues important to Ohio despite his loss in the Ohio Auditor of State race.

Results tonight showed a close race, but ultimately a loss for Carney.

“I would like to congratulate Auditor Yost, wish him the very best on his next term, and encourage him to stand up for Ohio taxpayers,” Carney said. “It’s not about those of us running for office. It’s about finding solutions to the problems Ohioans face. I look forward to continuing to work on those issues.”
