Austintown police investigate two thefts

AUSTINTOWN

Two thefts were reported on Victoria Road around 12:30 p.m. Monday. A resident called dispatch to report that $100 had been stolen from her purse in the 300 block of Victoria Road at 12:35 p.m. Another person called dispatch about five minutes later to report a white 1989 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck had been stolen at Boak and Sons at 75 Victoria Road.

Police reported these are likely two separate instances. Dispatch reported the detective's division is looking into both of these thefts.
