Vandals damage 5 cars in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN

Multiple cars were damaged in the township Sunday.

Township police had five police reports yesterday of criminal damage and mischief related to six cars on Westchester Drive and Raccoon Road.

Police officials said there were various items used to paint or scratch cars in the 4800 block of Westchester Drive and the 2200 block of Raccoon Road. All five police reports were made Sunday -four were made between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sunday while the other was reported 1:25 a.m. Sunday. Four vehicles were damaged with an unknown substance and two cars were written on with a washable paint.

Police are investigating and it wasn't known Monday morning if the cases were related.
