“Over the Garden Wall” (7 p.m., Cartoon Network): This whimsical animated miniseries follows two brothers (voiced by Elijah Wood and Collin Dean) who get lost amid a strange forest adrift in time. The mystery-adventure concludes Friday.

“The Voice” (8 p.m., NBC): Sure, the haters gonna hate, but that won’t keep Taylor Swift from shaking it off and joining “The Voice” as a mentor for all four teams as the knockout rounds heat up.

“Formula One Racing” (8 p.m., NBCSP): The United States Grand Prix is broadcast from Austin.

“Olive Kitteridge” (9 p.m., HBO): The stern, judgmental title character at the heart of this two-night miniseries isn’t the most likable woman you’ll ever meet. But as played by Oscar winner Frances McDormand, she makes for a compelling character study. Based on Elizabeth Strout’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, “Olive Kitteridge” tells a sweetly poignant and darkly funny tale of a New England town wrought with secret affairs, crime and tragedy, as seen through the eyes of a woman struggling with depression. The sterling cast also includes Richard Jenkins and Bill Murray.

“Countdown to the CMA Awards” (10 p.m., ABC): Keith Urban, Kacey Musgraves and others spotlight 15 songs that changed country music.

Santa Shuffle ready to return

YOUNGSTOWN

The fourth annual Santa Shuffle will be Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 10 downtown businesses.

Registration is $10 at the Downtown Draught House, which is one of the stops. The others are Avalon Pizza, V2, Martini Bros. Burger Bar, Warehouse 50, O’Donold’s, Suzie’s Dogs and Drafts, Rust Belt Tap House, Youngstown Jewelry and Repair and Liquid Blu.

Those who make a purchase at all 10 stops will be eligible for more $1,000 in gift cards. The event benefits Golden String Radio, Rescue Mission, Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center, American Heart Association of Youngstown, The Burner, Second Harvest Food Bank, Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown, Mahoning Veterans Memorial, Animal Charity of Ohio, Christmas Cards for Veterans and Christina’s Garden.
