Cruze October sales up 51 percent
LORDSTOWN
The Lordstown-built Chevrolet Cruze sales were up 51 percent for the month of October compared to October 2013, according to General Motors’ sales numbers released this morning.
A total of 24,289 Cruzes were delivered in the U.S. in October 2014 compared to 16,087 in the same month last year.
Overall, GM posted its best October since 2007 with 226,819 vehicles delivered.
GM partially attributed the success of Chevrolet to the Cruze, and also the Silverado, Equinox and Traverse.
Chevrolet sales were up 0.5 percent from last October and 3.1 percent for the year so far.
Buick also had its best October in more than a decade with 18,699 units delivered.
