Surprise party marks Hacketts’ 50th anniversary

Ronald and Roseann Hackett of Boardman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at an Oct. 18 surprise party at Cassese’s MVR restaurant in Youngstown.

Hosting the festivities were the couple’s children, Mark Hackett of Boardman and Renee (Bill) Liberator of Philadelphia. The Hacketts also have four grandchildren.

Mr. Hackett and the former Roseann Amicone were married Oct. 17, 1964, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown. They belong to St. Dominic Church, where they both do volunteer work.

Mrs. Hackett retired in August 1993 from Orthodontic Associates of Boardman, where she was office manager.

Mr. Hackett retired in November 1998 from Nickles Bakery in Warren, where he was a driver and salesman. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961.
