The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce awarded Humtown Products the Chamber’s President Award. Humtown was selected to receive this award as an outstanding local business with innovative and forward-thinking practices. Humtown Products contributes to the manufacturing of parts and equipment used in a diverse array of industries including agriculture, construction, manufacturing, mining, national defense, public utilities and transportation. The award was presented at the Fall Business Showcase on Oct. 23.

The International Fluid Power Society announced that Marti Wendel was elected 55th president of the society during its annual meeting in Charleston, S.C. Wendel will take office in January. Wendel is the global sales manager for Curtiss-Wright, Sprague, a manufacturer of high-pressure hydrostatic test systems based in Brecksville, Ohio. She has worked for 25 years in engineering, sales and marketing in the fluid-power industry and earned her bachelor’s degree at Kent State University.
