Wastewater spill

BOARDMAN

A Newton Falls Waste Water Treatment Plant truck filled with wastewater spilled its contents onto Interstate 680 near the Western Reserve Road exit in Boardman about 1 p.m. Friday.

An Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatcher said the liquid that spilled onto the highway was not hazardous.

The dispatcher said the Newton Falls Waste Water Treatment Plant truck had insecure loads, likely causing the accident. He said the accident was cleared and cleaned up.

While traffic was slowed near the Western Reserve Road exit this afternoon, the dispatcher said there were no other accidents because of the spill.
