WELLSVILLE

McDonald capped a perfect regular season with a tough road win to clinch the Inter Tri-County League Tier Two title. Caleb Dimery ran for 137 yards and two scores, while Jake Reckard added 76 yards and a touchdown. The Blue Devils (10-0, 7-0) shut out the Tigers (7-3, 5-2) in the second half. Alik Bradford had Wellsville’s only score of the game on a 70-yard pass to Frank Jackson just before the end of the first half.

Western Reserve 56, Southern 7

BERLIN CENTER

John Clegg was a perfect 10-for-10 passing for 374 yards and six touchdowns — and he did most of his damage in the first half. Joseph Falasca was the recipient of four passes for 150 yards and three scores. Brian Sunderman had two touchdown catches for 138 yards. The Blue Devils finish the season 9-1 (6-1 ITCL Tier Two) and are playoff-bound once again.

Mathews 27, Pymatuning Valley 14

VIENNA

Mathews jumped out to a big lead and hung on to beat Pymatuning Valley to finish unbeaten in the Northeastern Athletic Confernce. The Mustangs (7-3) will earn a playoff berth in Division VII. Brian Leipply had 29 carries for 187 yards and Cobie Pratt added 67 yards and two scores.

East 32, Edgewood 0

ASHTABULA

Jawalen Shaw carried 11 times for 95 yards and a touchdown an Isaiah Donley added five carried for 79 yards and two TDs for East (2-8), which snapped an eight-game losing streak. Damon Green had 10 carries for 60 yards and a TD and Brandon Jackson carried three times for 48 yards and a TD. Edgewood is 2-8.

Akron SVSM 38, Ursuline 6

AKRON

Vince Lockett carried 19 times for 92 yards and two touchdowns and also caught two passes for 60 yards and another TD to lead SVSM (8-2), which held Ursuline to 58 total yards. Dom Davis threw for 127 yards and also ran 12 times for 46 yards for SVSM. Tre Spinks ran for 23 yards and Vito Penza threw for 20 to lead Ursuline (6-4), which had already clinched a Division V Region 15 playoff spot before the game.

Uniontown Lake 14, Boardman 3

HARTVILLE

Mario Graziani rushed for 116 yards, but it wasn’t enough for Boardman in the school’s final game as a member of the Federal League. The Spartans (2-8, 2-4) once again couldn’t get anything going offensively despite a solid defensive performance. The Blue Streaks (5-5) were led by a two-touchdown performance from senior Adam Dadich.

Howland 36, Niles 0

HOWLAND

Tyriq Ellis carried 12 times for 163 yards and two TDs and Jaquore Marrs added 24 carries for 149 yards and a TD to lead Howland (7-3, 2-3 All-American Conference American), which was nonetheless eliminated from the playoff hunt. Victor Williams ran eight times for 70 yards and a TD and also threw a 39-yard TD pass to Jordan Sams. Corey Hayes threw for 94 yards to lead Niles (1-9, 0-5).

LaBrae 30, Champion 0

CHAMPION

Justin Jenkins ran for 44 yards and two touchdowns and also threw a 50-yard TD pass to Tariq Drake to lead LaBrae (6-4, 3-4 AAC National). Jenkins finished with 83 yards passing, while Keevon Harris ran seven times for 106 yards, including a 75-yard TD run. Nate Stahlman led Champion (1-9, 1-6) with 17 carries for 44 yards.

Campbell 30, Newton Falls 14

CAMPBELL

Aaron Jackson ran for two touchdowns and return a punt for a score as the Red Devils (2-8, 2-5 AAC National) ended the season with a victory. Jackson scored on runs of 34 and 8 yards and his punt return covered 48 yards. Yanni Koullias returned a fumble 49 yards for a TD for the Red Devils. Alex Ball had a 1-yard TD and Josh Walter ran 34 yards for a score for the Tigers (1-9, 0-7).

Crestview 60, Columbiana 50

NEW WATERFORD

Zach Hicks rushed for 223 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Rebels (6-4, 5-2 ITCL Tier One) tied South Range and Springfield for the league crown. Two of his touchdowns covered 58 and 35 yards. Tyler Stratton also scored four touchdowns, rushing for 201 yards on 13 carries. One of his scores covered 84 yards. Crestview quarterback Jesse Best rushed for 103 yards and passed for 49. The Rebels are projected to finish fourth in Division V, Region 15. For the Clippers (4-6, 2-5), quarterback Mitch Davidson ran for 207 yards and passed for 319 by completing 20 of 44 passes. One was a 64-yard scoring toss to Dalton Miller. The sophomore ran for four touchdowns.

Lisbon 41, Jackson-Milton 18

NORTH JACKSON

Lisbon had 249 rushing yards behind Austin Davis and Frankie Morrel to defeat Jackson-Milton. Davis had 90 yards and two scores, while Morrel had 76 yards and two more scores for Lisbon (7-3). Joey Burnside had 177 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bluejays (3-7). A 22-point third quarter was the difference for the Blue Devils.

United 40, East Palestine 7

HANOVERTON

Caige Vincent ran for 188 yards and two touchdowns and Eric Blosser ran for 88 yards and two scores as the Golden Eagles (7-3, 4-3 ITCL Tier One) ended the regular season with a rout of the Bulldogs (4-6, 3-4). Vincent scored on runs of 1 and 2 yards and Blosser scored on runs of 13 and 30 yards. Tyler Powers added a 52-yard TD run and Colton Antram had a 44-yard TD for United. Nick Monteleone supplied East Palestine’s only TD on a 13-yard run.

Lowellville 43, Mineral Ridge 7

LOWELLVILLE

Alex Harklerode ran 21 times for 182 yards and three TDs and also threw for a touchdown to lead Lowellville (5-5, 4-3 ITCL Tier Two), which finished with a winning conference record for the third straight season. Phil Ginnis added 12 carries for 121 yards and a TD and Eric Grow had 16 carries for 104 yards and a touchdown as the Rockets rolled up 413 yards on the ground. Nick Ferguson carried 15 times for 113 yards and a touchdown for the Rams (4-6, 3-4).

West Branch 21, Salem 7

BELOIT

West Branch won a defensive battle in which both team’s offenses struggled. The Warriors (6-4) had 119 yards rushing, led by Mason Hughes’ 47 yards. Salem (3-7) quarterback Matt Weingart threw six interceptions on 47 attempts. Neither team will advance to the postseason.
