Man who died after Cleveland shooting identified

CLEVELAND (AP) — Authorities have identified a man who died after he was shot in Cleveland.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the man who was shot today as 25-year-old Dominic Lane, of Cleveland.

Police say they responded to a call of a shooting shortly after midnight and found Lane with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he died.

Police say the preliminary investigation indicates that Lane was involved in a fight with another male when a second male produced a handgun and shot Lane. The other two males then fled on foot.

Investigators did not immediately release any additional information.
