Shop in the Gardens plans its Holiday Open House

The Shop in the Gardens at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek MetroParks will spark the spirit of the holiday season when it has its Holiday Open House from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 and Nov. 9.
A 20 percent discount will be applied to all Thanksgiving and Christmas merchandise at the shop, located at 123 McKinley Ave.
The shop is popular year-round for its extensive offerings that will appeal to almost everyone, including children’s items.
It is noted for its garden- themed and nature items, home decor, seasonal tabletop items, unique jewelry, handbags, scarves and hats.
A vast array of wine merchandise, hors d’oeuvres and holiday service pieces, unique jewelry, place cards, napkins and holiday linens are sure to add interest to any party you have planned.
The 2015 Mill Creek MetroParks calendar and holiday cards with photos by local man Scott Lanz will be available.
Members of Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens have a chance to attend a preview sale and cocktail party from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday while receiving a 20 percent discount off of everything in the shop.
Wine and culinary treats will be offered and sounds of the season will fill the air for shoppers.
Gift-wrapping will be available that evening.
Memberships can be purchased at the door.
Tickets for a raffle will sell for $5 each or three for $10. The drawing will take place Dec. 5.
Purchases in the shop help support the gardens and the park.
