Volunteers needed for The Color Run June 14

YOUNGSTOWN

Volunteers are needed for The Color Run in Youngstown. The event begins at 9 a.m, June 14 at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St.

Volunteers will help with registration, “throw color” and distribute water. For information regarding volunteer opportunities, call 330-746-9128.

Registration is still open for individual and team runners at https://thecolorrun.com/youngstown. Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley has been selected as the charity partner for The Color Run and will receive $1 from every registration made using the code CHMCA.

The Color Run is introducing its new Kaleidoscope Tour. Participants can expect novel course attractions, fresh participant gear and new store merchandise.

According to its website, "The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality."

More than 170 events took place in 30-plus countries last year.
