Theater group will examine role of police

YOUNGSTOWN

Radical DIY theatre group Insurgent Theatre will present “Behind the Badge,” an original play examining the role of police and prison in American society, at 7 p.m. June 10 at the United Returning Citizens Building, 2536 South Ave.

The play will include open discussion with local activists and community members on issues of police, surveillance, prison and resistance. Part of the money raised by this tour will support prisoners through SupportPrisonerResistance.net and LucasvilleAmnesty.org.

Suggested donations are $5 to $20 each. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
