Megan Deichler, Thomas McNear set Aug. wedding

LISBON

John and Carol Deichler of Lisbon are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Megan Elizabeth Deichler of Lisbon, and Thomas McNear of Negley.

The parents of the prospective groom are Sam Alexander of Lake Tomahawk and Valerie Alexander of Beaver Falls, Pa. His father is the late Thomas McNear.

The couple have planned their wedding for 3:30 p.m. Aug. 24 at First United Methodist Church. Invitations will be issued for a reception at the Salem Golf Club after the ceremony.

The bride-elect earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Youngstown State University and a master’s degree in education from Arkansas State University. She teaches math at East Palestine Schools.

The prospective groom earned an associate degree at New Castle School of Trades. He is employed as a project engineer for Bruce and Merrilees Electric Co. of New Castle.
